Collection: Peder Mørk Mønsted

Peder Mørk Mønsted (1859–1941) was a Danish realist painter trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under Peder Severin Krøyer. Across more than five decades and over 1,700 known paintings, he built a reputation for capturing light with exacting precision — sunlit clearings in Danish beech forests, quiet farmyards and cottage gardens, alpine scenes from Switzerland and Bavaria, and Mediterranean coastlines around Capri and Amalfi.
