Collection: Peder Mørk Mønsted

Peder Mørk Mønsted (1859–1941) was a Danish realist painter trained at the Royal Danish Academy under Peder Severin Krøyer, famous for rendering light with near-photographic precision. This collection follows his two recurring worlds: alpine farmsteads and villages under snow or spring thaw in Switzerland and Bavaria, and Danish beech and birch forests in autumn, with deer by the river, rowboats on still lakes, and ducks among fallen leaves.
