Gustav Klimt's Golden Phase fills this set: gold-leaf portraits of women named and painted at the height of Vienna Secession fame — Adele Bloch-Bauer I (the “Woman in Gold”), Emilie Flöge, Serena Lederer, Fritza Riedler, Johanna Staude, Eugenia Primavesi, and the unfinished Ria Munk III. Alongside the portraits are two panels from the Stoclet Frieze, Expectation and Fulfillment, plus the musical Die Musik and Schubert at the Piano, and the botanical Sunflower. Ornament, symbolism, and gold on every card.
