Collection: Gustave Caillebotte Postcards

Gustave Caillebotte (1848–1894) stood slightly apart from his Impressionist circle — wealthier, more reserved, and as devoted to sailing and to collecting paintings as to making them. It was his own bequest, in fact, that placed so much Impressionist work in French public collections, now held largely at the Musée d'Orsay. This collection gathers his eye for structure and unexpected angles: Parisian boulevards seen from a balcony rail, a market stall viewed from above, and the quieter garden studies from his final years at Petit Gennevilliers, where roses sat on white linen and afternoon sun caught the orange trees. Each card is printed as an A6 art postcard on 350 g/m² stock — ready for framing, postcrossing, or a considered note to a fellow collector.
