Pierre Bonnard

Bonnard's Nabis eye turns up everywhere in this set: Paris streets and a night omnibus, still lifes of lemons and tablecloths, the view from his window at Le Cannet, and — a recurring cast — his cats, from Le Chat blanc to two dozing on a terrace railing. Reproduced from his oil paintings, each card keeps the glow of colour he was known for, whether the scene is a city boulevard or a vase of flowers on a mantelpiece.
