Spring Beech Forest with a Footbridge, Peder Mønsted — Art Postcard

Fresh beech leaves catch the spring light along a slow, clear stream, where a simple wooden footbridge with a railing crosses to the far bank. Some trees still stand bare against the pale sky while others are already fully leafed, marking the exact turn of the season Mønsted liked to paint. The bridge gives the eye a place to rest before the forest closes in behind it.
The still water doubles every branch and post in near-perfect reflection, a technical passage Mønsted returned to across many forest scenes. Printed at 10×15 cm on 350 g/m² card, this postcard fits spring-themed postcrossing and correspondence about forests and country walks, and sits alongside more of the artist's work in our art postcard collection.
