An elderly woman in a blue dress and white cap sits in a wooden chair outside a thatched cottage, a newspaper open on her lap. Tall pink and red hollyhocks rise beside her against the whitewashed wall; large pink roses fill the near foreground. Of Mønsted's many older-woman-in-garden compositions, this one settles into one of his gentlest registers — botanical exactness paired with a wholly unhurried human presence.

Reproduced at 10×15 cm on 350 g/m² card by Zolota Ptakha Publishing House, the print preserves the deep pinks of the hollyhocks against the cool green window frames.
