Arthur Thiele Kitten Dressmaker with Scissors & Doll — Postcard

This kitten has set up shop as her own dressmaker: blue dress, orange bow slightly askew, oversized scissors in one paw and a doll bundled in red polka-dot fabric in the other. A tape measure trails down to a pincushion bristling with pins, and scraps of colourful paper litter the floor — the aftermath of a very serious sewing project. Arthur Thiele draws the whole scene with a completely straight face, which is exactly what makes it funny.
