This kitten has claimed the vanity table as her own kingdom: a hairbrush in one paw, a wristwatch on her arm, and a red travel bag spilling over with a hand mirror, opera glasses, and a perfume atomiser. A white lace bonnet lies discarded on the floor — clearly not glamorous enough for the occasion. Thiele draws high society with an affectionate, teasing eye, the joke being how easily the trappings of vanity translate onto any creature that adopts them.
