Manor Drawing Room — Stanislav Zhukovsky Postcard

This is one of Zhukovsky's most celebrated manor interiors: a sunlit drawing room, a crystal chandelier overhead, a round table draped in heavy white lace at the centre, branches of lilac in a quiet vase, and tall doors opening directly into the garden. The carpet carries a rose-pink medallion, the chairs are red wood, and the windows let in a clear summer light. Zhukovsky paints the room as a place still in use, not a museum.
