Made in a single sitting in 1875 and now at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, Woman with a Parasol — Madame Monet and Her Son is one of the painter's most quoted images: Camille mid-step on a sunlit hill, white dress windblown sideways, a green parasol cocked against the sky, their son Jean small in the grass behind.
