Woman at the Terrace Railing — Stanislav Zhukovsky Postcard

A woman in a long white dress leans on the iron lacework of a terrace railing and looks out across the lake. The water is grey-green and a little uneasy; the flowers at her feet are bright red. Zhukovsky paints her without any drama at all — the moment is small enough to fit on a postcard, and that is exactly the point.
