Field with Irises near Arles Postcard — Vincent van Gogh | Zolota Ptakha

Painted in May 1888, a few months after Van Gogh first arrived in Arles, this field marks his early discovery of southern light — a wide, even ground given over to the iris blue. Compared with the later asylum-garden irises, this is the open-air version: the same flower, treated as landscape. A useful card to send in spring.
