Claude Monet painted Vétheuil in Summer in 1880, soon after settling in the small Seine village where he lived from 1878 to 1881. Across the river the painter gathers pale houses beneath the village church spire, framed by tall poplars while a small boat drifts on the broken light of the water. It is one of the luminous high-summer views from his early plein-air period — a small canvas in which Impressionist colour holds heat, breeze, and reflection at once.
The reproduction comes as a postcard for collectors, postcrossing senders, and anyone building a small art-history library at home. It pairs naturally with a desk frame, a journaling spread, or a handwritten note that needs a generous summer sky. Browse the full Claude Monet collection or our wider painting art postcards.
