Wheat Field with Cypresses, Saint-Rémy — Van Gogh, 1889, Postcard

Painted in June 1889 at the Saint-Paul-de-Mausole asylum near Saint-Rémy, this landscape shows the Provençal plain as Van Gogh saw it from his asylum grounds: green-yellow wheat under the summer sun, with a tall cypress anchoring the composition and a white farmhouse visible among the fields.
