The Lord of Burleigh — Edmund Blair Leighton Postcard

An art postcard after Edmund Blair Leighton's The Lord of Burleigh (1919), based on Tennyson's poem of a nobleman who courted a country girl in disguise. Leighton paints the meeting in the field itself: an artist in a tricorn hat at his sketching board beneath a willow, and a young woman in a pink dress and straw hat pausing with her market basket.

Send it as a story-loving note, a literary card, or collect it with the wider Edmund Blair Leighton series in the painting art postcards.
