Renoir — The Dancer (1874) Fine Art Postcard

The Dancer, painted in 1874, was among the works Renoir showed at the first Impressionist exhibition that spring in Paris. A young ballerina stands almost full-length in a white tutu and pink slippers against a pale green ground — frontal, unhurried, brushed with the airy lightness that marks Renoir at the height of his Impressionist phase. The picture now belongs to the National Gallery of Art in Washington. Published by Zolota Ptakha at 10×15 cm on 350 g/m² stock — a small card to keep, send or frame.
