A girl in a red hat and grey-blue dress sews in a summer garden, sunlight breaking through the foliage in soft yellow patches across her dress and hands. The sitter is Marie-Thérèse Durand-Ruel, daughter of Renoir's tireless dealer Paul Durand-Ruel — the painting belongs to both the family album and the official record of the artist's career. Today it lives at the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown.

The card is for collectors of Renoir's portraits and for slow notes that want a summer feel.
