Flowers by the Bank Square — Louis De Schryver Art Postcard

A flower seller in a blue-striped apron loads an enormous bouquet of roses, delphiniums and white blossom onto her cart, while two Parisian women — one in royal blue and gold, one in pale blue-and-white stripes — lean in to choose their favourites. Behind them a bank's clocktower and awninged shops frame a horse-drawn omnibus rolling by. Louis De Schryver signed and dated this Paris flower-market scene 1898.
