Carl Larsson – Morning in the Pink Room, 1905

A 1905 morning scene in the intimate warmth of a Swedish Empire-style bedroom: a young woman in a white nightgown stands while an older woman in blue attends to her clothes. Pink walls, mahogany furniture, and a tea service on the table give the scene the quality of a private ritual.
