Bronze and Lurid Bolete Mushrooms — Antique Botanical Postcard

This plate pairs two bolete mushrooms side by side: a dark, bronze-capped specimen shown whole and in outline above, and a paler, olive-capped bolete below, its stem cut open to reveal orange-tinted flesh. The original illustrator marked the lower species suspect, a small caution note preserved from the antique field guide.
