Brendekilde — Burdock Leaves and Bracket Mushrooms (Art Postcard)

Large burdock leaves with vivid red stems crowd the frame, set against a shaded forest floor. At the base of a tree trunk to the right, a cluster of bracket mushrooms in amber and brown emerges from the bark, while touches of warm autumn foliage glow in the upper background. Signed lower left “H.A. Brendekilde.”

Rare among his output — Brendekilde usually painted figures and open landscapes, making this close botanical study an unusual find for a nature or mushroom-themed collection.
