Carl Jutz spent his career painting the German farmyard with real affection — roosters holding court by the barn door, hens shepherding broods of chicks past a feeding bowl, ducks paddling home along a wooden jetty or beneath a village steeple. This collection turns nine of his poultry and duck scenes into art postcards, from a strutting peacock to a turkey hen resting by the river.
