Cat Postcards

Cats doing what cats do best: sleeping among candles, peeking out of knitted blankets, mid-yawn on a porch, or curled up on rusty stairs in old Odesa. A large share of the illustrations are by Katya Dudnik — girls in vyshyvanka embracing black cats, a child in a cat-ear bonnet, a cat perched among orchids and thread spools — alongside warm ginger tabbies caught in candid, almost photographic detail. Some cards lean folk and painterly, others read like a snapshot from someone's windowsill.
