At the Window, painted in 1881 by Norwegian artist Hans Heyerdahl (1857–1913), is an intimate portrait of a woman seated beside a window and absorbed in a quiet moment of reading and reflection. The sitter is Maren Christine Heyerdahl, the artist's first wife.
